WSNWCB Committees
Different committees play an important role in the weed control process in Washington State. The chairperson of the State Weed Board is an ex-officio on all committees except the Executive Committee, which he chairs. The Executive Secretary is an ex-officio on all committees.
 
Executive Committee
This committee is authorized to deal with housekeeping and personnel matters, presented for approval at the next Board meeting. The chairperson appoints the Executive Committee with the approval of the Board. The current members are:

Budget Committee
This committee is involved in developing the Board's biennial general fund budget. In recent years, the committee has also investigated alternative funding options for the Board and for other state agencies. The current members are:

Noxious Weed Committee
The Noxious Weed Committee meets several times a year to review and discuss information pertaining to requests for changes to the Washington State Noxious Weed List. These committee meetings are usually held in May, July, and September, on the eve of the state board meetings. These meetings are open to the public. The current members are:

Education Committee
The Education Committee helps set the educational priorities for the Board. Recent projects have included developing a web page and creating full-color bulletins for selected noxious weed species. Current members are:

Special Projects Committee
This committee makes funding recommendations for special projects of statewide benefit. Recent efforts have focused on an integrated weed management plan for leafy spurge. The current members are:

Survey Standards Committee

Public Lands Committee
The Public Lands Committee addresses issues dealing with state and federal lands in Washington. Activities include drafting memoranda of understanding with federal agencies, such as the U.S. Forest Services.

Biennial Report Committee
Every odd-numbered year, the Board prepares a report of its activities. The Biennial Report Committee assists the Executive Secretary with report development and review. The current members are:

Screening Rules Committee
This committee was established to advise the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) on developing rules for regulating screenings. The current members are:
