How would I identify it?
General Description
Heavenly bamboo is not a bamboo, or even in the grass family, like all true bamboos are. It is an evergreen shrub in the same family as Oregon grape.
Flower Description
Loose bunches of 6 white petals around 6 yellow stamens and a yellow sepal.
Leaf description
Leaves are made up of an odd number of leaflets, with pairs of elliptical, oval, or lance-shaped leaflets growing opposite each other, and a single leaflet at the end. They can be any shade from green to red.
Fruit Seed Description
Berries start green and ripen to red
