How Do I Control It?

Herbicide is the only adviseable method, due to how small the seeds are and how easily the plant's stems break off to reproduce vegetatively. However, there are many regulations around use of herbicide in aquatic areas. It is best to reach out to your local county weed board and the Washington Department of Ecology to get information or assistance.
